A Measure of Comfort, 2nd audition day

We’re casting for A Measure of Comfort!

Due to the overwhelming response we’re holding a second day of auditions for all the actors who were not able to attend the first session. This will be the last chance to audition before we begin callbacks.

It will once again be an open casting call, this time for Friday, August 22nd, between the hours of 11 a.m. and 3 p.m. They will be held in the Governor’s Room in the District Lounge located on the corner of 45th Ave. and Broadway Ave. in the University District. The Lounge is located beneath the Hotel Deca.

“A Measure of Comfort” is about a struggling writer wrestling with his changed perception of the world after a doomed relationship draws to a conclusion.

This is a very emotional story that explores it’s themes through intimate character moments. The relationship is involved and complex and speckled with humor throughout.

Actors and actresses who feel comfortable with character based improvisation are encouraged to audition.

The film itself is planned to be one hour in length.

Roles needed to be filled:

1 male lead, 25 to 35 yrs old
1 female lead, 25 to 35 yrs old
1 male co-lead, any age
1 male supporting, 28 to 38 yrs old
1 female supporting, 28 to 38 yrs old

Scripts will be available on the day of the audition. Filming is scheduled for the last two weeks of September. We’re looking to cast early so that we can have a comfortable rehearsal schedule before shooting.

Actors will be compensated. Meals will be provided for the rehearsals and the duration of the shoot.

If you have any questions before the audition about the project please feel free to contact me.
