A Visitor in the Night will be playing as part of California’s Shockerfest. The festival will take place over the entire month of October with film blocks playing on local TV stations starting at 11 PM. A Visitor in the Night will play on Saturday October 9th and Saturday October 23rd at approximately 12:30 AM on the following California TV stations: KAZV-TV, broadcast 14, Charter cable 14, Comcast 195 in the central valley.

47 North Productions is producing a new short film, to be shot over four days in October. Here’s the post going out on the local callboards. Contact us at casting@47northproductions.com if you’re interested in auditioning.

Short film shooting in mid to late October for 47 North Productions, LLC. 1 male lead, 1 female lead. Each lead will play 2 parts.
Synopsis: A character from a popular video game appears to gain not only a form of consciousness, but some physicality as well. The downside being that he appears to be in the throes of a philosophical crisis. As if that weren’t enough, the people who play the video game seem to be having a parallel experience..

The male lead will play both a player of the game and also be playing a character from the game, a frog.

The female lead will play both a player of the game and also be playing a character from the game, a fly.

Costumes will be provided.
Auditions will take place next Friday, on the 24th of September at the Capitol Hill Library.

47 North Screens at STIFF this weekend

Seattle’s True Independent Film Festival 2010 is now in full swing and this weekend they will be showing two 47 North productions.

On Friday, June 11th at 7 PM at the Northwest Film Forum will be the premiere screening of A Visitor in the Night. You can pre-order tickets here.

On Saturday, June 12th at 7:45 PM at the Jewelbox Theater will be the premiere screening of A Measure of Comfort. You can pre-order tickets here.

And on Sunday, June 13th at 4 PM at the Jewelbox Theater will be an encore screening of A Visitor in the Night. You can pre-order tickets here.

Twist finishes principle photography

“Twist,” a new short film written by John Portanova & Jeremy Berg, has wrapped principle photography.

“Twist” is the story of a young, amateur boxer who takes it upon himself to track down his trainer’s daughter, who’s gone missing. In the process, he gets pulled down into a web of dark machinations that he isn’t prepared for. It attempts to fuse elements of noir and mystery into the fabric of the Northwest settings and culture.
.
“Twist” is an attempt to test the waters with a new character and story, based off of ideas by Jeremy Berg, D’Angelo Midili, John Portanova and all the members of 47 North Productions. A feature length script is in the works, to be completed in the later months of this year. Stay tuned for more information on “Twist,” when it will be completed and where you can see it to get a taste of the great things we have in store for you with the feature.

Casting Call for short film Twist

47 North Productions presents Twist, a short film centering on a boxer searching for a lost friend.

We are currently looking to fill a few supporting roles.

-Shades (Male, Age 25-35): The leader of a boxer’s entourage. He’s involved with drugs and has a gang of guys to back him up. We will also be casting the members of the gang from those who read for the role of Shades.

-Veronica Kern (Female, Age 35-45): The wife of a former boxing promoter. On the surface she looks like a typical housewife, but she knows all about the shady dealings going on behind closed doors.

-Humphrey “Hump” Davis (Male, Age 45-55): The main character’s boxing trainer. A tough man who wants the best for his protégé.

Shoot dates will be March 24th-26th. Each of these characters will shoot for about 1 day of that time frame.

Auditions will be held on the afternoon of Friday March 5th. If interested, please email a headshot and resume to casting@47northproductions.com and put the name of the character you wish to audition for in the subject line.

These are all volunteer positions.
